Arta Mohammad-Alikhani received his B.S. and M.S. in electrical engineering from the Iran University of Science and Technology in Tehran, Iran in 2015 and 2018, respectively. Following his studies, Arta worked as a researcher in the field of motor control in electric vehicles, at the Advanced Automotive Technology Research and Development Company in Tehran, Iran. During his time there, he gained valuable experience in the development of advanced technologies for electric vehicles. In May 2023, Arta joined McMaster University in Hamilton, ON as a Ph.D. student in electrical engineering. Arta’s research interests focus on bringing artificial intelligence to power engineering applications. Currently, he is focusing on the data-driven fault detection of electric motors in electric vehicles, utilizing machine learning techniques.
