Bridget Marfo is pursuing her M.A.Sc. in electrical and computer engineering at McMaster University, under the supervision of Dr. Ali EmadiHer research explores battery management systems for electric aircraft, with a particular focus on the integration of AI and power systems to advance next-generation aerospace technologies.

Bridget Marfo holds a bachelor of science in electrical and electronics engineering from the University of Energy and Natural Resources in Ghana, where she specialized in power systems and the application of artificial intelligence and machine learning in energy technologies. Her strong academic performance and research interests in intelligent energy systems led her to join McMaster University in January 2024, where she is pursuing her M.A.Sc. in electrical and computer engineering under the supervision of Dr. Ali Emadi. 

Her current research focuses on the design and optimization of power distribution systems for electric aircraft, with a particular emphasis on battery management systems for electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) vehicles. Bridget’s work combines power electronics, energy storage technologies, and intelligent, data-driven algorithms to enhance the reliability, safety, and efficiency of next-generation aerospace power architectures. 

Beyond her technical expertise, Bridget is passionate about leadership, mentorship, and collaborative innovation. She is committed to using her research to drive impactful change in sustainable aviation technologies and to inspire future engineers, particularly women in STEM fields.
