Dr. Hassan Kojori has over 30 years of experience in the field of power conversion, power distribution, energy optimization and related advanced systems control. Currently as a Senior Principal Engineer with Honeywell, he is the Conversion Portfolio Leader for Aero Advanced Technologies responsible for research, development and technology demonstration of advanced Electric Power Systems for More Electric Aircraft and tactical vehicles. His original work on numerous technology firsts has resulted in more than 45 patent disclosures (23 granted), trade secrets and more than 50 technical papers and proprietary industry reports. Dr. Kojori is actively engaged in collaborative research in the general area of energy optimization and systems control and teaching and supervising graduate students with several leading local and international universities for the past 15 years. He was an adjunct associate professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Toronto (2000-2012) and an adjunct professor at Ryerson University (2002-present). He is currently an industry professor in the Institute for Automotive Research and Technology at McMaster University.

On April 16th, McMaster University had the honour of welcoming His Excellency Kanji Yamanouchi, Japan’s Ambassador to Canada, along with Mr. Ryutaro Ishii, Counsellor at the Embassy of Japan, and Mr. Yasutsugu Tamura, First Secretary for Education, Science, Technology, and Innovation.
