Francisco Juarez-Leon received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in electronics engineering from the Technological Institute of Celaya, Mexico, in December 2016 and November 2020, respectively. He has collaborated on research projects in both Mexico and Spain, working with the Technological Institute of Celaya and the Gijón Polytechnic School of Engineering/University of Oviedo. In September 2021, he joined the McMaster Automotive Resource Centre (MARC) and is currently pursuing his Ph.D. at McMaster University under the supervision of Dr. Berker Bilgin. His research focuses on power electronics, advanced digital electronics, control, and electric machines.

On April 16th, McMaster University had the honour of welcoming His Excellency Kanji Yamanouchi, Japan’s Ambassador to Canada, along with Mr. Ryutaro Ishii, Counsellor at the Embassy of Japan, and Mr. Yasutsugu Tamura, First Secretary for Education, Science, Technology, and Innovation.
