Junran Chen received his B.S. in electrical engineering from Southeast University, China, in 2020. He joined the McMaster Automotive Resource Center (MARC) in September 2021, as a master’s student. In September 2022, under the supervision of Dr. Ali Emadi, Junran started pursuing a Ph.D. in electrical and computer engineering. His current research area includes artificial intelligence, battery management systems, and electric vehicle energy management systems.
April 22, 2025: McMaster Welcomes Japanese Ambassador for Visit to Automotive Resource Centre
On April 16th, McMaster University had the honour of welcoming His Excellency Kanji Yamanouchi, Japan’s Ambassador to Canada, along with Mr. Ryutaro Ishii, Counsellor at the Embassy of Japan, and Mr. Yasutsugu Tamura, First Secretary for Education, Science, Technology, and Innovation.
