Justin Brown is the Head of Operations for Dr. Emadi’s CERC@MARC group, overseeing the dynos, battery testing, and driving simulator labs at McMaster Automotive Resource Centre (MARC). He holds a bachelor’s degree in industrial design from Humber College and a certificate in tool and die making from Sheridan College, completed during his apprenticeship. He also studied both engineering technology, and art and design, at Centennial College. Justin’s multidisciplinary career spans manufacturing, product development, and audio-visual production. His experience ranges from the shop floor to the boardroom, providing him with a rare combination of technical and strategic insight. At MARC, his breadth of knowledge allows him to support operations on many levels — from assisting researchers with experimental design and troubleshooting advanced lab equipment, to collaborating with industry partners and helping to guide the execution of MARC’s strategic plan.

April 22, 2025: McMaster Welcomes Japanese Ambassador for Visit to Automotive Resource Centre
On April 16th, McMaster University had the honour of welcoming His Excellency Kanji Yamanouchi, Japan’s Ambassador to Canada, along with Mr. Ryutaro Ishii, Counsellor at the Embassy of Japan, and Mr. Yasutsugu Tamura, First Secretary for Education, Science, Technology, and Innovation.
