Rachit Pradhan received his B.E. in electronics engineering from the University of Mumbai, India, in 2018. From 2016 to 2018, he founded and managed Pascal Engineering, an engineering consultancy specializing in power electronics, embedded systems, and audio products. Between 2018 and 2021, he worked as a hardware design manager at Maxwell Energy Systems (formerly ION Energy Inc.), focusing on Li-ion battery management systems. Since 2021, Rachit has been pursuing his M.A.Sc. at McMaster University, Canada, where his research focuses on multi-level and multi-port DC-DC converters for automotive applications. His broader interests include system architecture and the development of high-density power electronics for aerospace and industrial applications.

On April 16th, McMaster University had the honour of welcoming His Excellency Kanji Yamanouchi, Japan’s Ambassador to Canada, along with Mr. Ryutaro Ishii, Counsellor at the Embassy of Japan, and Mr. Yasutsugu Tamura, First Secretary for Education, Science, Technology, and Innovation.
