Romulo Vieira earned his B.S. in electrical engineering (2019), from the Federal University of Paraiba (with honors). He earned his MBA with control and automation applied to residential and automotive environments (2021), from the Brazilian Union of Colleges (UniBF). He also obtained his M.Sc. in electrical engineering from the Federal University of Paraiba in Brazil, with focus in power electronics, machine learning, artificial intelligence, battery management systems, state of charge, and health estimation. Currently, Romulo is a Ph.D. student in electrical engineering at McMaster University. He joined the McMaster Automotive Resource Center (MARC) in 2022.
Romulo has extensive experience with machine learning projects, battery management systems, engine design and development, vehicle systems, and smart mobility industries. His main research area involves cloud battery management systems, digital twins, and artificial intelligence (IA) applied to the automotive industry. As a Ph.D. student at McMaster, he is focused on building up relations with other researchers on energy storage, vehicle modeling, and cloud computing-related projects.
