Sara Mirzaei joined the McMaster Automotive Resource Center (MARC) in the fall of 2022, as an M.A.Sc. student in mechanical engineering, working under the supervision of Dr. Ali Emadi. A graduate with honours from Amirkabir University of Technology, Iran, Sara is primarily engaged in the research and development of Vehicle-to-Everything (V2X) applications, aiming to significantly contribute to automotive technology and sustainable mobility.

Full Profile:

Sara’s interest in energy engineering expanded during her undergraduate studies at Amirkabir University of Technology in Iran. It was her high academic standing and dedication to the field that set her apart. Her passion for sustainable energy solutions, and their integration into the automotive industry, led her to the McMaster Automotive Resource Center (MARC). It is here that she focuses on developing algorithms for V2X applications. This research is not only a testament to her commitment to her field, but also her potential to make substantial contributions to the future of sustainable transportation.

Before joining MARC, Sara demonstrated her technical acumen through her published work. She co-authored a paper on the fatigue failure analysis of a trailing arm using numerical methods, which was accepted for publication in the Journal of Solid Mechanics.

Outside of her academic work, Sara enjoys ballet, spends quality time with her cat, and appreciates classical music. As she continues her research, Sara strives to make further strides in her field.  She always maintains a balance between professional growth and personal fulfillment.
