Wesam Taha received his B.Sc. (Hons.) and M.Sc. in electrical engineering, from Khalifa University of Science and Technology, UAE in 2013 and 2015, respectively. In 2019, he joined the Canada Excellence Research Chair in Hybrid Powertrain Program at the McMaster Automotive Resource Centre (MARC), Canada, where he is currently pursuing this Ph.D. Before joining McMaster, Wesam was a research engineer at Khalifa University, where he participated and led industry-sponsored R&D projects worth USD 2.7M. Wesam is also a certified Project Management Professional (PMP). He currently serves as Treasurer on the Executive Committee of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Hamilton Section. Additionally, he is the recipient of multiple prestigious awards, including the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) Fellowship in 2013 and the Ontario Graduate Scholarship, in 2020.
