Yihui Li received her B.S. degree in electrical engineering from Northwestern Polytechnical University (NWPU), Xi’an, Shaanxi, China, in 2017. From 2018, she has been with Dr. Ali Emadi’s research team at McMaster Automotive Resource Center (MARC), McMaster University, Hamilton, Canada as a master student. Her research interests include control of switched reluctance machines and permanent magnet machines, and design of permanent magnet machines.
Yihui has been interested in electric machines since she was an undergraduate student. She enjoyed studying the switched reluctance machines and permanent magnet machines. She has been enjoying the working with the Canada Excellence in Research Chair in Hybrid Powertrain Program at the McMaster Automotive Resource Centre since 2018.
