Haomin Li received his B.Eng. and M.Eng. in electrical engineering from Southeast University, China, in 2016 and 2019, respectively. In September 2019, he joined the McMaster Automotive Resource Centre (MARC) at McMaster University, Canada, as a Ph.D. student, under the supervision of Dr. Ali Emadi and Dr. Babak Nahid-Mobarakeh (co-supervisor).

Haomin is currently working towards his Ph.D. at the McMaster Automotive Resource Centre (MARC) in Ontario, Canada. His research interests include applying advanced concepts to motor drives, such as position sensorless control for permanent magnet synchronous motors. He hopes that his modest work during his Ph.D. studies, could potentially bridge the theory and performance enhancements for industrial applications. Through these efforts, he aspires to advance this field even further.
